So I'm packing for my trip for Evansville for Province Alumni Coordinator training...  I'm finished with work for the week, and aside from folding some laundry and cleaning up my desk, I'm ready to go.  Now, I'm planning on driving there, and picking up one of the other PACs who's flying in to Louisville on my way down.  I go out to dinner,  get my skyline fix, and then get back in my car.  Immediately, I realize something is wrong.  When I turn my car on, it's shaky as fuck.  I can feel it in my seat and through my foot on the gas pedal.  I turn off the car, and turn it back on.  On comes the check engine light, and still shaky.

fun.

Even better, the dealership where I just had my car serviced last week closed for the night 10 minutes before I turned my car back on.  The 'last week' part is the major reason why I'm tweaked about this.

so instead of a leisurely morning getting some books from the library and picking up a new pair of gym shoes before heading down, I get to take the car to the shop, and go pick up a rental for the drive down.  oh, tomorrow is just going to be grand.

So I spent some time finishing David Eddings' series "The Dreamers"... (not because I particularly enjoyed it, but because I'm slightly OCD about closure)

and in reading it I finally understood why I don't like his new books.  It's not just a tired premise.  It's not even that the characters are either carbon copies or amalgamations of his previous characters.  These things piss me off, but I could get over it.  But when he took whole conversations from his previous books, changed the names of the characters talking, and just put them into it, well, it's not really plagarism if you're copying yourself, but it's still shitty writing.

well... daylight savings time is going to fuck my senses up.  I've already been confused as I expected dawn to have come already.

so spring break started today(for me at least) and we got snowed in.  as such, I decided to treat myself, and finish off a few games that had been close, but not quite complete.   I think this is more just me failing at finishing things off due to time constraints than anything else.

By the way, having Zodiark makes actually fighting during the entire last dungeon completely unnecessary.  literally, once you start hitting boss fights, zodiark kills them so fast he lasts through 3 of them.

and now, to bed, for tomorrow it's time to work on that cleaning thing I've been putting off due to school and work.

When you've been cutting jalapenos, no matter how well you think you've washed your hands, you haven't.  wash again.  as hot as you can.  with lots of soap.  dish soap, in fact, not just hand soap.
